About Me

Hello! My name is Gina Championsmith and I am a Sisterlocks™ CTA (Certified Trainer Associate), as well as, a Sisterlocks™ Brand Ambassador, and a R-Certified Sisterlocks™ Consultant. Back in 2000, a bad perm forced me to completely shave my head and I wore natural hairstyles for fear of another bad experience with harsh chemicals. Then one day I saw someone with a head of gorgeous Sisterlocks™. Curious, I spent that night researching everything I could find about this new (to me) styling technique. Three weeks later (in 2010), I had a head full of baby Sisterlocks™ of which I’ve been doing my own retightenings since 2011. Adding up those years to today, I proudly can state that I haven't looked back and I know I’ve made the right decision. Since 2013, I have helped bring this same wonderful hairstyle to others. I started building my business in California's Bay Area and have since moved to Seattle's south end. Today I am proud to say that I've helped over 100 clients embrace their natural hair with this style. Also, I teach those interested in learning the process and starting their own business in sharing this wonderful hair journey. I perform according to the Sisterlocks™ guidelines, so you can expect to get “authenticity at its best”.
